Monday Transfer Roundup...

Here's today's football transfer roundup...
Manchester United decided against moving for Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt after ruling he'd be 'too fat', it has been claimed. The Mirror reports De Ligt has emerged as one of the most sought-after defenders in Europe, with the centre-back set to spark a £75million (N35billion) scramble for his signature this summer. United, who are desperate to sign a central defender this summer, could have signed De Ligt for less than that figure last season – but decided against it because of concerns over his weight.

Super agent Mino Raiola has been hit with a three month GLOBAL transfer ban. Raiola was previously handed a three-month ban from working within Italy earlier this week by the Italian FA but the chairman of FIFA's Disciplinary Committee has extended the ban across the globe.

The Mirror report David Luiz says he expects to tie up a Chelsea contract extension in the coming days.

The Metro claim Manchester United are open to selling defender Eric Bailly to Arsenal this summer at the right price. Centre-back Bailly has failed to live up to his potential since joining United from Villarreal in 2016 and could be shown the exit door at Old Trafford this summer. The Gunners are said to be interested, but will have to pay £30m (N14bn) for him.

The Sun also claim United flop Alexis Sanchez wants a move to Italy. Sanchez, 30, is on huge wages at Old Trafford and the club are desperate to get rid. Inter Milan are said to be interested in the former Arsenal star.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi has reportedly named the three players who we wants the club to get rid of this summer.

Ander Herrera has confirmed he will leave Manchester United at the end of the season after bidding goodbye to the club in a video on social media.Herrera's contract expires at the end of June and the 29-year-old is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer this summer after agreeing terms with the Ligue 1 champions.Herrera initially joined United from Athletic Bilbao in 2014 and has since gone on to make 189 appearances for the club.He won the Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup during his time in Manchester, and was also named the club's Player of the Year for the 2016-17 season.Herrera confirmed his departure in a video released on Manchester United's official Twitter account.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are back in the race to sign one of Inter Milan's most prized starlets in Sebastiano Esposito.

Antoine Griezmann feels he has more of a chance of winning trophies with Barcelona than at Atletico Madrid, who have struggled in recent seasons to remain competitive. Les Parisien also claim that the French forward is ready to take a pay cut from his current salary to make a move to Camp Nou.
