Keita Limps Out Of Liverpool Training To Hand Klopp Fresh Injury Blow

Naby Keita appeared to deal Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp a fresh injury blow as he limped out of training on the eve of the UEFA Super Cup clash with Chelsea in Istanbul.
The Guinean midfielder has suffered with several injury issues during his time with the Reds, and missed the end of last season with a thigh problem he picked up in the first half of the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Despite initially being ruled out by Klopp, Keita ended up playing for Guinea at the Africa Nations Cup in Egypt in the summer, only to suffer a recurrence of the problem.

And when taking part in an open training session at Vodafone Park prior to Wednesday's clash with the Blues, Keita pulled up with what appeared to be a muscle issue.

The 24-year-old - who was an unused substitute for Liverpool's 4-1 victory over Norwich City in the Premier League on Friday - then headed straight down the tunnel with a club physio in order to receive treatment.

Another injury absence for Keita would serve as the latest blow for Liverpool , who are set to be without goalkeeper Alisson Becker for up to six weeks with a calf injury sustained in that Norwich game, with No.2 stopper Adrian set for his first Reds start against Chelsea.
