Roberto Martinez Aims A Thinly-Veiled Dig At Man United After Lukaku's Move To Inter

Belgium boss has aimed a dig at Manchester United as his main striker Romelu Lukaku enjoys a new lease of life in Italy with Inter Milan.
The 26-year-old joined Inter from United in a deal worth £75million earlier this summer, and has started well under Antonio Conte, scoring in each of his Inter appearances so far.

And Martinez has said that Lukaku is a different player since leaving Manchester after two years at United.

Speaking ahead of Belgium's game with Scotland, the former Everton manager said:

This is the first time I have seen him free and happy. Going back to many camps I have not seen Rom so focused, so happy, so refreshed by the new challenge.

Martinez, who coached Lukaku while the pair were at Everton, said his striker can burst into life in his new surroundings.

He said:

I think he is now ready to face one of the biggest footballing chapters in his career with the Inter Milan move.
